Little Glenbarr

A calmer kind of play.

A beautifully crafted roleplay village for younger children at Glenbarr Stores.

Little Glenbarr is designed for little imaginations — a calm, creative play space where children can explore, pretend, build, shop, serve, garden and play at their own pace.

Winter visits are free and walk-in, with a maximum of 6 children playing at one time. This keeps Little Glenbarr calm and unhurried.

Free throughout winter. No booking is needed—check in with the team when you arrive. If the village is full, we will offer the next available time.

Not soft play

Small numbers. Calm sessions. Proper imaginative play.

Little Glenbarr is intentionally limited to just 6 children per hour. It is not designed to be noisy, chaotic or overcrowded. It is a slower, calmer play experience for younger children and grown-ups.

How it works

One-hour sessions. Six children maximum.

Little Glenbarr is free throughout winter. Visits are walk-in only: check in with the team and collect a wristband before entering.

The small session size helps us keep the experience calm, safe and enjoyable for younger children.

Recommended age Best suited to children aged 2–7.
Under 2s Welcome with constant adult supervision. The roleplay area is better suited to children who are steady on their feet.
Session size Maximum of 6 children per hour.
Older children Little Glenbarr is designed for younger children, so older children cannot use the play village. Older children can enjoy table football in the greenhouse, plus table tennis and outdoor family games when the weather allows.
Sunny day extras

Free outdoor family games area.

On sunny days, we may also set up our outdoor family games area with games such as giant Jenga, giant Connect 4, giant dominoes and table tennis.

This area is free to use for all Glenbarr Stores patrons and is available on a first come, first served basis. It is weather dependent.
